In the late 1980’s I moved to Florida and worked for high end commercial contractors, where I learned how to paint. I tended bar in my “free time”. After Hurricane Andrew hit, in 1992, I started my own painting company, State of Art Custom Painting, then moved it back to Pittsburgh in 1994. At that time, I homed in on my interior design skills and added residential consulting and painting to my service menu. My interest in real estate peaked and I began to develop relationships with builders in large “up and coming” residential real estate developments, while keeping my paint brush still dipped in commercial buildings. I get things done, and meet targeted completion dates, in both residential (new and existing) and commercial scenarios.
I specialize in:
- Interior and exterior painting and staining, pressure washing decks, siding, concrete, and brick
- Dry wall repair
- Most recently, I was hired by the worldwide, innovative EATON Corporation to oversee construction and consult on design ideas, for their Power Systems Experience Center in Pittsburgh
